An interesting article I just read that was recently slashdot’ed / boing’d / and all sorts of linkage.

http://newsite.michaelrighi.com/2007/09/01/arrested-at-circuit-city/

The personal website of the michael righi details his experience of walking out of a circuit city and refusing to show his receipt. There are two major points to the story; the first is around not showing the receipt to the retail store manager. The second part is around the arresting office charging the guy with a completely bogus charge.

The office most likely was just annoyed by the young obstinent individual; but arresting him for failure to present his identification is against the law. (yes even Ohio law).
