couple things — Truman Boyes

looks like the purchase of E*trade shares at five bucks and change was a good thing. i knew this company looked really good even with the bad press that Prashant Bhatia spread in his statement around the possible bankruptcy of the company; anyway the shares are coming back to life this morning and the company has had a huge cash infusion from Citadel investors. It’s a good thing for E*Trade customers too, of which I have been for nearly 5 years or so. In my personal opinion, its the best trading platform out there, and the world markets trading is also a huge plus. Good to see they will be sticking around for a while.

Just watched Taxi Driver with the young Robert DeNiro. What a show. I have some unanswered questions though, for example he blows away all the creeps in cold blood, and then later he is back driving a cab as some sort of hero? I couldn’t imagine a different ending, besides of course him possible taking a few more bullets, maybe from the police. But how does he just walk away from it all after getting all obsessed with either guns or something else? Martin Scorsese produced a fantastic film.
