Back to the grindstone

By Truman Boyes · · 1 min read

Sitting at the computer this morning, at home, about to head to work after a great weekend. I spent the weekend doing some biking around the harbour, worked out at the gym when it was a bit overcast. On Sunday, we met up with some friends and enjoyed yum chow, at a Chinese restaurant on Courtney Place. To work off some of that food we took a walk up Oriental Parade, a road that follows the outline of the harbour, and cradles up on a manmade beach that gathers quite many bathers, both of water and sun.

The beach reminded me of Watching Lake in Central New Jersey. My grandfather and grandmother would take us there when we were kids, and when we were brave enough we would swim out to the floating docks and jump off into the water.

This week I am looking to test some examples of Pedro's draft, which specifies allowing a provider's network to transparently exchange routing information via 2547, without the customer network attributes being visable to the carrier network. It appears that the magic is provided by route reflection and the BGP attribute (ATTRSET).

Last night I hacked away at Postfix until it started delivering virtual domain mail. The new server is almost setup.
